June Casket Flag Event Honoring the Stonehurst Neighborhood Veterans

The following Veterans will be honored:

Sgt. William S Coll, Cpl Richard Gaudiello, Steve Gunn, Sgt. John Nelson, Cpl Robert Pfaff Jr., Sgt. Allan Scott, Cpl Leo Dennis Stromberg, and Cpl Paul Turner.

The Stonehurst neighborhood is a tight-knit community near 69th St. in Upper Darby. The group of Veterans was born in the neighborhood in the late 1940s, attending Monsignor Bonner and Upper Darby High Schools together and enlisting in the Vietnam War to the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army. The group remained close friends following their active duty and vacationing together over the years.
