BROADWAY IN BERWYN does Christmas!

Fresh off the heels of an incredibly successful run of “SpongeBob the Musical,” Footlighters Community Theater is excited to bring back to its stage their incredibly popular, music-filled, annual fundraiser, Broadway in Berwyn.

For one red and green-filled weekend (December 10, 11 & 12) Footlighters will be over-flowing with Christmas cheer through Musical Theater Christmas songs!  They will be “Counting Down to Christmas” (A Christmas Story).  You do NOT want to miss it!  Reserve your seats now and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” (Meet Me in St Louis).

Friday and Saturday evening productions begin at 8:00pm; Sunday December 12 matinee is at 4:00pm.  A special Relaxed Performance is also offered on Saturday, December 11th at 2:00pm.  This performance will be adjusted for audience members of diverse sensory and communication needs.  This may include, but is not limited to, individuals under 6 years old, individuals with Autism, ADD and sensory sensitivities.

Forced by the pandemic to close just five days before their March 2020 Broadway production, the theater and its members have been lying in wait for the chance to return.  Producer Sue Scott is thrilled to introduce the 14-member cast who will share a brand new version, Broadway in Berwyn does Christmas!  Led by Music Director, Kat Bowman, and Vocal Coach, Nick Harmantzis, the cast includes Emma Arruda, Joe Billetta, Emily Bolles, Macy Danenhower, Troy Gartner, Bill Gilbertson, Hope Harbeson, Sophia Kogay, Maria Kollar, Julie Kemm, Sophie Lartigue, Maya Maloskey, Laura Peterson and Danny Scott.  It’s never been more true that we “Need a Little Christmas” (Mame) and are ready for a “Happy Holiday” (White Christmas).​

Tickets for the annual Broadway in Berwyn fundraiser are available now at www.footlighterstheater.com for all performances for just $25 (adults).  Students/Children pay just $15 each.  Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more. Tickets may be purchased in advance (recommended to avoid disappointment) at www.footlighterstheater.com or at the door on the day of the show.  Doors typically open 30 minutes prior to show time.  The popular “wine grab-bag” fundraiser is hoped to again be part of the festivities.  Audience members must wear masks while inside the theater.

Footlighters Theater is located at 58 Main Avenue in Berwyn, PA 19312, just two blocks from the Berwyn Train station (Paoli/Thorndale line). On-street parking is available and patrons also have access to the church parking lot across the street. Many wonderful dining options are available within walking distance of the theater for pre- or post-show enjoyment.
