First Annual Slide-A-Thon

As many Philadelphians know, the Giant Wooden Slide is not only a source  of priceless intergenerational memories, it also embodies how Smith is essential to the families of Philadelphia and beyond.  Since 1899, Smith has been a free, safe space for children of all different backgrounds to come together to play and grow into strong, confident individuals despite personal circumstances or societal challenges. At Smith’s first annual Slide-A-Thon,  the Giant Wooden Slide will be all yours! The event will raise funds to help support Smiths which includes welcoming nearly 200,000 visitors annually from families in every zip code in the City, and providing educational and advocacy programs that use the power of play to help children, families, and communities thrive.

Register a team and enjoy private, exclusive access to Smith’s famous Giant Wooden Slide for an assigned period of time. Each group will participate in a challenge to achieve the most slides of any team during their time block. All participants will receive a complimentary sliding sack to decorate and bring home courtesy of La Colombe Coffee Roasters.
