Dive into Art History: Frida Kahlo

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with art historian Jaan Troltenier as she brings her first-person interpretation of avant-garde Mexican artist Frida Kahlo to Phoenixville Public Library on Thursday, May 5 at 7:00 PM.  Although Kahlo encountered many misfortunes in her life, she confronted her suffering and turned it into art.  She is most famous for her self-portraits, which continue to speak to people today.  This in-person event is free and open to the public.  Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/frida-kahlo or by calling 610-933-3013 x132.  Email mp****@cc**.org for more information.  Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
