Please join us for a concert program of varied and inspiring music of the twentieth century.
The final symphony concert of the season is entitled The Koussevitzky Connection. Serge Koussevitzky was the music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1924 to 1949 and was a great champion of modern music. The first work on the program, Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring, was initially recorded in 1945 by Koussevitzky and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Meet the Music
A FREE informative introduction to the music being performed on the Delaware County Symphony concert. Guest speakers from Neumann University and the Delaware County Symphony will present a short talk before each concert so you can more fully appreciate the performance of our DCS musicians and guest soloists. Meet the Music takes place in the McNichol room of the Life Center at Neumann University from 2:00 to 2:30 PM before the Sunday symphony concert.
Dr. Richard Sayers, music professor from Neumann University, will present on May 7.
