Philadelphia’s Black Horse Motel crafts its genre-fluid city folk sound by taking traditional folk instrumentation and lyrics, blending them with Americana roots, rock, blues, and country influences and tying it all together with rich vocal harmonies. Families with members on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorders may check out a free pack to use during visits to Brandywine. Created in conjunction with occupational therapists and local families, these packs are designed to create a welcoming experience and contain social stories, fidgets, noise-cancelling headphones, and activity suggestions.

Also, service animals are welcome in the museum. Please check in at the Admissions desk in the Visitor Entrance upon arrival.
Accessible parking for vehicles displaying the appropriate disability permits is located on the far right side of the parking lot alongside the river, available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a designated barrier-free entrance into the Museum’s lower level, located at the entrance alongside the river, to the right of the main entrance and close to the accessible parking.
