Concert in the Courtyard with Laura Shay

Laura Shay is a Philadelphia native singer/songwriter/pianist with strong vocals and a relaxing vibe, performing original music as well as unique, acoustic versions of contemporary and classic tunes (think Sarah McLachlan meets Natalie Merchant). With no manager, little to no press, and one year of piano lessons when she was nine, Laura has managed to record and release 4 albums of original music with local, talented musicians since 2005, sell out select venues in the Philadelphia area, and have her songs placed in various television shows, movies, and videos around the world (including The Food Network, The Hallmark Channel and BBC). Aside from writing music and performing, Laura is a mother to four wonderful children and a licensed speech-language pathologist who holds two Master’s degrees in Communication Studies and Communicative Disorders.
