Footlighters Theater’s 2020 version of Broadway in Berwyn continues to spotlight incredible local talent, bringing their own heart and soul versions of favorite Broadway show tunes! More than twenty-five production numbers will be featured from as many different Broadway shows. In addition to many outstanding adults, this year Footlighters is featuring special performances of its “Rising Stars,” amazing Broadway-bound youth and teens who bring new energy and enthusiasm to the stage. Each year, Footlighters patrons exclaim, “this show just keeps getting better and better!”
This event is Footlighters’ Sixth Annual Musical Fundraiser. The five previous shows performed to great acclaim, providing significant financial support to the theater and requests for repeat performances. As a non-profit community theater, Footlighters is dependent upon the income from its performances and the support of its benefactors to keep the historic theater up and running. The Oldest Community Theater on the Main Line, located in a 19th century stone church building, Footlighters holds a unique place in Philadelphia’s family of performing arts. Toward that end, the Broadway in Berwyn event gives local musical theater lovers the chance to enjoy some of their favorite show tunes, participate in a fun wine raffle and support the arts in their local community.
Once again produced by Sue Scott, now directed by Jay Schulman and with Music Direction by Marie Anderson and Stage Management by Abby Scott, the 2020 cast includes a large assortment of talented artists: Keira Bauer, Bailey Cavallaro, Ellen Cohn, Melina Cruz, Shannon Daly, Macy Danenhower, Amanda Evans, Stephanie Fales, Bill Gilbertson, Alex and Sophie Gourmand, Cate Hashemi, Richard Johnson, Sophia Kogay, Maria Kollar, Julie Kremm, Maya Maloskey, Ilena Mita, Danny Murphy, Beatrice Osborne, Laura Peterson, Robert Rinaldo, Eva Serinsky and Lauren Yucha.
Broadway in Berwyn opens at Footlighters on Friday March 20th and runs for two weekends. Friday and Saturday evening productions begin at 8:00pm; two Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Tickets are available now at www.footlighterstheater.com for all shows; just $20 per person. Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more. Tickets may be purchased in advance (recommended to avoid disappointment) at www.footlighterstheater.com or at the door on the day of the show. Doors typically open 30 minutes prior to show time.
Footlighters Theater is located at 58 Main Avenue in Berwyn, PA 19312, just two blocks from the Berwyn Train station (Paoli/Thorndale line). On-street parking is available and patrons also have access to the church parking lot across the street. Many wonderful dining options are available within walking distance of the theater for pre- or post-show enjoyment.

In preparation for your visit to our theater, here are some general points of information:
* Concessions and 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold during intermission. All concessions are $1.00 each. 50/50 tickets are $1 each or 10 tickets for $5. The winning ticket is drawn just before Act 2 begins and the winner will receive half of the funds collected.
* Enjoy our Wine Grab Bag fun, with the (surprise) wine of your choice for just a $10 donation. This event is a fund-raising event for the theater improvement fund.
* Free street parking is available and St. Monica’s Church across the street also grants parking access to our patrons.
* Our building is a historic 19th century stone church so temperatures sometimes vacillate. We encourage you to dress in layers to ensure your own comfort level.
* If stairs are an issue for you, we do have an access ramp at the front door. Please note, however, that our rest rooms are located in our lower level.
We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you so much for your support of Community Theater!
