This annual Philadelphia film festival focuses on films about and by black, brown and indigenous people from around the world.
Referred to as “the Black Sundance” by Ebony magazine, BlackStar Film Festival returns for its 10th year of cinematic awesomeness with a festival that will take place both virtually and in person at Eakins Oval and The Mann Center for the Performing Arts. The fesitval is a celebration of the visual and storytelling traditions of the African diaspora and of global Indigenous communities, showcasing films by Black, Brown and Indigenous artists from around the world.
