The Neighborhood Club will sponsor the annual Independence Day celebration on July 4, 2021. The celebration begins with a parade that will assemble at 8:45 a.m. at the Union Fire House on Montgomery Ave. The parade departs at 9:30 a.m. from the Fire House and ends at the Bala Cynwyd Playground. The parade features neighborhood children riding decorated bicycles, marchers in costumes, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, fire trucks, police, and public officials. You can purchase refreshments from the Union Fire Association at the Bala Cynwyd Playground and enjoy patriotic music provided by Susan Watts and The Summer Sounds Pop Band.
Foot races for all ages and the ever-popular egg toss will follow the raising of the flag by Troop Bala One. Children can also enjoy pony rides, petting zoo, exotic animals, trackless train, and rock wall.
Donations to offset the cost of the celebration are welcome. Send checks to The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd, PO Box 717, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or donate online here.
Conshohocken’s Annual July Fireworks Display
July 3, Sutcliffe Park, West 9th Avenue and Freedley Street, Conshohocken
Fireworks begin at dusk approximately around 9:30pm. This year’s fireworks display will be larger than previous years so that fireworks may be visible from as many vantage points as possible throughout the Borough. Due to this larger size in fireworks, a wider safety perimeter surrounding the discharge zone is required. As such, Sutcliffe Park and surrounding areas will be closed to the public during the event. Tests of the larger Fireworks display were completed to ensure that the majority of the Borough could still view and enjoy the fireworks from outside Sutcliffe Park.
The annual Garrett Hill-Rosemont 4th of July Parade will take place on Saturday, July 3, 2021.This year’s parade will begin and end at the Rosemont Business Campus and will follow the previously used route through the community.
