Did you know that Haverford Properties is trying to flood the edge of Radnor Township (the current Hamilton Properties on Strafford ave and Eagle Roads ) with 41-3 story townhomes, and 9 single family homes?
This will change the landscape and flavor of this part of our community with huge irreversible, impactful outcomes
- Storm water management
- high density of homes creating a tremendous car & foot traffic flow to the Strafford Train station with no connecting sidewalks
- insufficient traffic exit flow from proposed townhouse site
- school overpopulation at every level
- newly created light pollution & proper landscape preservation
These are all major issues for area residents. We have been protesting this at every Radnor township meeting for over a year with little movement from the developers.
We WALK in protest SATURDAY March 6 @ 10:00 AM, starting at West Ave & Eagle Road, as a unified community, to illustrate the foot traffic that could easily occur on these arteries, during a traditional Saturday morning. JOIN us RADNOR residents, JOIN us T/E residents!

This is happening all over the place from the middle to western Main Line. Horrible. All manner of residences being shoe-horned into every square foot of remaining space, with all the subsequent problems that come with it. Municipal decision makers are deaf to their constituents’ protests. Threaten to not vote for them and see whether they listen to that. I don’t think they will but worth a try.

View lessWhen I was First Ward Commissioner back in the 1990s there was terrible flooding of the Strafford Ave homes from both the Spread Eagle shopping center and Mrs. Hamilton’s property. The run-off from Spread Eagle was partially mitigated, but nothing from the Hamilton property. There was a literal river running down her property. Radnor does a terrible job at mitigating water run-off. This is a huge

View lessThis is just the worst news. My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a property on Strafford that backs onto the plot they are trying to develop. We close early April and thought how lovely it was to have the land behind us! I was even eyeing it up with dreams of acquiring the land and developing it into a community garden or something fun like that! We will be there to protest with

View lessI’d like to hear the reasons why the development is happening. Always good to know both sides of an issue.

Stormwater management is a disaster in the area. Traffic is terrible on these streets as well

View lessHi! If we weren’t in a pandemic I could meet you for coffee! I could fill you in on what we know so far. And remember when I almost drowned in the old Eagle School flood waters a couple summers ago? Thank goodness our boys were here watching their sister or this could be a very different post. Dangerous is an understatement for stormwater here, let alone traffic. Hope all is well and looking
