  • Andee Axe
    Andee Axe
    Visual Arts: Mixed Media, Painting
Andee Axe makes art that smiles at you. And it makes you want to smile back. No matter what color is on her brush, she paints from a palette of vivid emotions, happy memories, and pure joy. Whether familiar or famous, the subjects in her paintings aren’t afraid to have fun and take you along for the ride. They dance. They wink. They sparkle. They use bold pop colors to celebrate the brightest moments we share with the people who we love. Each painting sends a burst of happy into the world, and that’s something we can all appreciate. Andee is the kind of person who has never been able to sit and watch the paint dry. From an early age, she has always had her sleeves rolled up, always ready to enthusiastically make a splash on any canvas she could find. She studied two-dimensional fine arts at Moore College of Art and later worked as a licensed artist inside Philadelphia. Her independent work appears in numerous private collections and can be seen in Philadelphia Galleries and her private studio by appointment.
  • Sarah Baptist
    Sarah Baptist
    Visual Arts: Painting, Visual Arts
Sarah Baptist – Artist Statement The character and essence of city streets, alleys, train tracks and such, capture Sarah’s attention when she paints. She finds rhythms in the shapes of the urban landscape. Sarah finds the impact of man and nature co-existing a fascinating subject. Sarah is an urban landscape oil painter, who enjoys plein air painting. Being on location, responding and reacting to the light, color and atmosphere is a challenge and a joy. Recently, Sarah has started to use this plein air work, as well as many photos taken while out painting, to create larger urban landscapes and abstractions in her home studio. Sarah started out as a set designer because she loved creating the illusion of another world on the stage. That morphed into painting scenery for theater, opera and specialty events for 20+ years from Maine to Wisconsin to New Hampshire and finally Delaware. Now she creates worlds with oil paints rather than on the stage! Sarah is a self-taught artist. She has shown her work in numerous galleries in the area and has won a number of awards at regional plein air events. Sarah invites you to see more of her artwork at SarahBaptistArt.com and Instagram.com/sbaptistart
  • Siobhan Bedford
    Siobhan Bedford
    Visual Arts: Painting, Visual Arts
Siobhan Bedford’s oil paintings, strive to capture the raw energy and complexity of creation, through explorations of rhythm in the chaos of flowing color. A bright focal point often emerges into ethereal atmospheres, revealing forms which are rooted in the earth’s elements and hint at a connection to the infinite. She paints sitting on the floor turning the canvas as she works. This allows a sense of floating above rather than the ordinary orientation of up and down. She sees painting as an extension of the self-revealing inner emotional energy states. It expresses a kind of consciousness in color and form that is both deeply personal yet finds a connection in viewers with a shared inner experience. She received her BFA, Illustration and Painting from Marywood College, Scranton, PA in 1995. Her most recent solo show “Emergence” was at the Chester County Art Association, West Chester, PA in 2016. She has been participating in the Chester County Open Studio Tour since 2016. She shares her art making experience on her blog “Behind The Studio Door.” www.siobhanbedford.com

  • Amy Iversen
    Amy Iversen
Crafts: Jewelry; Visual Arts: Crafts, Jewelry, Painting, Visual Arts
I am a contemporary realist oil painter and metalsmith/enamelist working with sterling silver, fine silver and gold metals and semi-precious stones. I have an undergraduate degree from Towson State University in Studio Arts/Art History (1978) and a Master’s degree from the University of the Arts in Museum Studies (2004). I worked as an art conservation technician at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and volunteered at Winterthur/UDel Art Conservation program. I have been painting since the age of 9 and have studied at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. I paint using the principles of Henry Hensche, a colorist with the Cape Cod School of Art. I am drawn to the impressionists and their interpretations of color and form. I took several metals and jewelry classes while attending Towson State and fell in love with enameling. It is an ancient craft that is currently being revived in a contemporary way.  I love working with this medium and of creating small works of wearable art. I also work with sterling and fine silver, gold, and copper.

My earliest memory is with a pencil in my hand, drawing. My identity has always been as an artist. I received my Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2014. Since then I have been painting, curating and teaching. I am most inspired to capture portraits of humans and how we relate to the natural world around us. • Wendy Wagner
    Wendy Wagner
    Visual Arts: Painting, Visual Arts
My aim as an artist is to strive for honesty. I believe it is key for communication through portrait, figure, or still life; to capture what is sincere and felt. I am inspired by interactions with people, and objects of personal meaning. Most of my portraits are alla prima, because I like the idea of preserving one moment with the model. Through still life, I can infuse meaning with seemingly random objects. I received my B.F.A. in Painting from Moore College of Art and Design. To further my studies, I completed the Advanced Fine Art Program at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, where I am currently a fellow.
  • Scott Woyak
    Scott Woyak
Visual Arts: Illustration, Painting, Visual Arts
My artwork reflects intensity and strength. Pen and ink is an ideal medium for this purpose. Pure black sharply contrasted with white creates potential for direct and classical imagery. I enjoy the challenge of producing various textures and emotions using only the most basic tools: a black pen mark. I am currently exploring additional mediums with the intent of capturing the human spirit and my own personal journey. You can track my progress as I grow at Studio Incamminati through my Instagram account: @scottwoyakart. I am learning to draw the figure first using charcoal, then grisaille, and eventually full color. As I evolve, my resulting artwork will become an outlet for the fire that burns within. Let’s do this thing! – Scott Woyak
