This 1912 waterwheel is one of the few working waterwheels in the country. It was originally used to irrigate flowerbeds and to power interior and exterior fountains. Also see 3 lakes on site and view tiles in the Walton Mansion by Henry Mercer.

Hidden Valley Farms operates a stable within the park that provides trail rides, horse boarding, riding lessons, pony rides, and an assortment of horse related services. Operated under the direction of Bishop's Mill Historical Institute, the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation provides visitors with an accurate picture of life on a Delaware county farm prior to the American Revolution.

Ridley Creek State Park provides history, scenic beauty and natural wonders. There are hundreds of picnic tables in picnic areas. Each area is equipped with restrooms and charcoal grills. Several of the areas have large fields, playground equipment, or picnic pavilions that can be reserved up to 11 months in advance for a fee. The 5-mile, paved Multi-use Trail along Sycamore Mills and Forge roads is designated for bicycles, joggers/walkers and cross-country skiers.

Horseshoe Trail: The Horseshoe Trail is a 120-mile trail traveling from Valley Forge to just north of Hershey. the trail is also a horseback riding trail. It connects with the Appalachian Trail on Sharp Mountain. Trail maps are available from the visitor's center at Valley Forge Historical Park.
